For fans of “The Outsiders,” downtown Sperry is a must-visit! This historic DX filling station from the movie has been fully refurbished and is open to the public. Additionally, the old Rexall Store some deleted scenes were filmed in has been restored and turned into a coffee and ice cream shop! #Tulsa #DiscoverOklahoma #TheOutsiders

This was so fun. Met the owner at The Outsiders house in Tulsa. Short drive up to the DX Station. I took pictures, looked around, and hung an ornament on the little Christmas tree inside there. There is a book you can sign, so they can tell where all their visitors are from. Great book by S. E. Hinton, and I love how these sites allow you to experience the book and the movie. AWESOME!

Went on an Outsiders road trip. DX is only 15 minutes from the house it was filmed in. Easy to locate. They have the inside set up with information from the movie which make it neat to see. Rexall Drug is across the street as well

This isn't fancy, but is nice. You can go in the building until dusk and it's a free stop. There are a few of pictures hung up from the movie, so you can compare it to what you're looking at in person. We looked around, took a couple of pictures, then headed to the...

They are working to restore this piece of film history back to its former glory, there are a few other filming locations nearby including the recall drug and behind the downtown buildings to the west is where they filmed the scene of the kids in the beginning...
