Fun family hike! You can make it as long, or short as you like. A downhill hike zig-zags down to the Little-Spokane river basin. There are small trails all over the place. At the bottom of the hill, you can head right (North) to see some small water falls, and to the left (down the road a few hundred feet) you can pick up the trail again. Down this trail, there is a bridge over the Little-Spokane and more trails up into the hills on the other side. The trail is easy and is a mix of dirt and gravel.

We saw the water falls, went to the bridge, and made it back up to the top in about 90 minutes without being in a hurry and taking time to explore.

note the black dog doo bags at the trail head are intended to pick up your dog's number 2 and carry it out. Please don't just tie off the bag and leave it plopped on the side...

One of the best hikes you can go on in Spokane - The view is amazing, The hike itself is a decent workout there is a nice view of the river and the sunset here is really cool as it comes down right behind the mountain. If you've thought about visiting here but never have I highly recommend you do it! It can be a little busy at times and for some reason parents like to bring 20 kids for a walk and leave their trash all along the walk way but other than stuff like that it's a nice place. Don't reproduce - Teach your kids how to pick up...

The trail was awesome and is fairly easy and wide for about two miles but involves a gradual switchback down to the river. The trails get more aggressive and narrow but still scenic once you cross the river Valley.

Note, at the bottom of the switchback veer slightly right down a paved residential street for a short distance and then look for the small signs, it's then more apparent to see the wide path again heading out...

One of my favorite places to walk my dog! It's so beautiful and I love seeing eagles by the river. To the bridge and back is about 1.5 miles and if you continue across the bridge, the main loop is about 3 miles. It's a heavily used trail, with many people walking dogs there, so I keep my dog leashed most of the time.
