Spring City Resort & Marina — Attraction in Spring City

We rent a RV spot every year here. This year is different. We always pay a year in advance to ensure we have our spot for next year. So last year (2022) we paid for June and July of 2023. That was a total of $800. We had heard in February that the previous owners had sold the property so we jumped on the phone to make sure we were still ok for our spots this year. The lady that we spoke with took our names and ensured that we were "all good". So on May 30th 2020 I was notified that they no longer had our spots available. They had booked them for someone else. When confronted about this, they stated that the previous owners didn't leave anything for them to go on and they booked the sites again. I informed them that we had spoke in February and they told us we were good. After this happed we demanded a refund for the $800 we paid for our spots. We took our receipts down and they said they would mail us a check, because they didn't have that much cash on hand. After a week the owner emailed us and said he would not be paying us back, that if we wanted our money we would have to get in touch with the previous owners. This is definitely not the way to run a business..... Now we are out $800 and no place for our camper for the summer.. Definitely wont be getting our...

My husband was raving about this place to me for a while now, I was skeptical at first, then he booked a Mother’s Day night for us. It was the Friday before Mother’s Day May 9th 3025, the place was nice but something was wrong with the plumbing. I could not sleep all night and we had nowhere else to go that late at night. The toilets was backed up. The sinks were backed up. The tub was backed up. You turn the sink on and the toilet will bubble up, It made no sense. We called the emergency number and the receptionist that rented us the room answered the phone with an attitude and her statement was, “I can’t do anything about that tonight”. We left early the next morning and sent a text. The receptionist seems to be the only person on duty handling everything and her attitude tells it all. She stated that she would get back to us on Tuesday, 13th of May 2025 when she returned to work.Today is now 20th May 2025 it has been over a full week since the incident and we are yet to get a call to deal with this situation that ruined my Mother’s Day. I would not recommend this Marina to anyone the customer service is bad and they don’t seem to care about you paying this much money per night to stay there. If I could give them zero...

Staff welcomed us like we were family. Held the cabin for us for the hour it took us to get there. Had a hiccup with our bank (went over my daily limit) when she ran the card that afternoon. Told her we were in contact with the bank to let the funds through. She said she would wait and run it the next day (went through fine).

Anyway, we opened the door to the cabin and we were both surprised by how homey it looked. Was simple to set up the SMART TV for our streaming services. Only thing we needed to supply was toiletries and towels. We had been staying in hotels for several weeks and relished the roominess of our 2 bedroom cabin. Sitting on the back porch enjoying the view of the lake, woods all around to where you couldn't see any neighboring cabins, our own private boat dock and the sounds of nature at night. We feel at home here.

Rent by the day, week, month or year. Hopefully we will only need their services for a month or two since we are looking to buy a house in the area.
