This place is a wonderful outdoor area for many different outdoor personalities. The hawk watch itself is easily accessible from the road and there is a small parking area. Further down the hill is a picnic area with pavilions. This is not the best location for those with physical issues or disabilities as the view itself requires climbing up and over many large and sharp rocks. For the more athletic, there are many trails with frequent trail blazers to keep hikers on the trails. The park is open from dawn until dusk. As a warning, stay close to the road as the sun is setting because the forest gets very dark very fast and the rocky trails can be treacherous.
