I tried trail#1, it’s a bit steep, so people might find it a bit challenging. Great exercise though! The view was awesome on the way! Would love to see other trails in this area too😁

So happy it’s open again! I also really appreciated all the pet parents with their dogs that we came across today. My dog doesn’t mind the company of other dogs, but he’s uncomfortable with unfamiliar dogs rushing up to us (as most dogs are!) and each person we came across with a dog today either leashed up once they saw us or asked from a distance what we would prefer, to which I opted for no greetings to happen. We also train and participate in dog sports and other things, so I truly value the ability for my dog to learn that other dogs won’t just rush up to him while we’re out in the world. I’m also a professional dog trainer who works with numerous clients whose dogs are trying to learn the same thing. It’s so much more meaningful than I can put into words when people value the other party’s consent to an interaction BEFORE it occurs. So thank you, thank you, thank you for being responsible pet parents!

Side note, the photo is from late in the season last year. It is not that dry there...

I do love this park. However, I prefer hiking where I don't have to step down the side of a cliff, either solo or with a kid or pet, to give right -of -way to people on horses. Some people aren't that patient while you try to find a thorn free, stinging insect free place to stand off the trail. Nice thing is trails are marked well so you know what you are getting into - not all of the trails are fully shared-use. It is also excruciatingly sunny in spots but the view can make up for...

A lot of paths to walk. You'll never get lost. Go up the mountain to reach the peak of Mount Pisgah. Stay on the lowlands to walk along the river. Lots of doggie poop garbage cans everywhere. The volunteers are so nice to pick up the dog poop bags for us. Do yourself a favor and just by a $20 Lane county parking pass. Then you can visit all the Lane county Parks and not fear getting a...
