If there was an option to leave 0 stars I would! I drove almost 3 hours to bring my grandbaby here. However, I’m very disappointed!! After being told we couldn’t do the hay ride, or any of the bounce houses because it was all reserved for field trip kids we went ahead and walked around. I was told in the gift shop that we could purchase any of the pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. I took my grandbaby to the pumpkin patch. he loved being there and looking and playing with all the pumpkins. He picked out a little white pumpkin and was soooo excited about it. However, I was then told “oh he can’t buy the little ones they’re for the field trip kids!” I had to take the pumpkin out of his hands and watch him be upset and start to cry because he was not allowed to buy a pumpkin at a PUMPKIN PATCH. Make it make sense!!! Why have the pumpkin patch open to the public if they’re limited to what pumpkins they can buy? He is a little baby and is not able to pick up a big pumpkin. The only other size that was there were all big ones. I really hope that in the future this is something that is reevaluated for other family’s as I will not be going back here!! On the Facebook page it talks about harvest fest but nowhere did I read that because of field trip kids they only have limited activities and you’re not allowed to purchase the little pumpkins at their pumpkin patch 🤦🏽♀️ The picture is of the pumpkin that we weren’t allowed to purchase at the...
Read moreMy friend and I stopped at this place because we had seen a review on a Facebook group. We were really excited to go look at pumpkins and sunflowers and possibly take our pictures with both. It is a very large area, and it seems to be geared for families with young children. My friend and I are no longer parents of young children. The sunflowers were pretty, but by the time we got there they were a little wilty. And the pumpkins were nothing like the image that we had seen online. There were animals to look at, and what looked to be a very nice education center and a lovely little gift shop. There was a nice looking playground full of children, there were a couple of different fire pits and even a small lake that had benches around it. My favorite part was the butterfly garden that at this time of the year was a little overgrown but there were benches and we sat in the shade and talked for a minute. All in all, we were disappointed because of what our expectations had been. Looking at it purely from the point of some place to take young children or a group of young children, this would be a fun place to go. And perhaps if we had gone earlier in the year the pumpkin patch would not have been full of weeds. As it was the pumpkins were already all picked and lined up along the edges of the rows facing the booth where you...
Read moreIt's a great place to get away to and pet some friendly farm animals, and go on walks on the trails. They have a nice indoor air conditioned and heated event room, and a big outdoor fire pit that I assume you could reserve/rent. In the Fall they have a great corn maze. It's a family friendly atmosphere, and kids are always running around having a great time here. There is even a fishing pond! And a climbing castle! With a slide! All the best activities you can experience on a farm, but really close to town! I like that it's clean, at least as clean as it could be with pigs and goats around. My girlfriend loves going on dates here. It can be really hot on sunny days, as there are not that many trees, but overall, it's a great experience. I would recommend taking sunglasses. A creek runs behind the farm, and is also a peaceful place to visit. I don't remember if they have pic nic tables, but they do have some nice flat ground for an old fashioned pic nic. I'm not sure how well that would go in the summer time with the odd fly around. The playground looks epic, I haven't tried it, but kids are always laughing there. I don't remember seeing any dogs, I would think they are okay as long as they don't get too close to the animals, and are good with people...
