The overall size of the park compared to other Parks is pretty small, however it has a nice Pavilion that is covered. It also has natural caves which are explorable to a point however some of them are marked is off-limits because of endangered species and possible hazards which are contained within.

I performed a wedding at this location near The Caves at the point where the spring comes from out of the cave is an absolutely gorgeous setting for the wedding. The only downside or that the restrooms are extremely far away from where the Pavilion is. The parking area is not that large either. Because of the way the sidewalks are arranged it is accessible to those who are handicapped, however the area where the caves are not accessible by wheelchair because of the natural steps that are designed by the rock formations in size.

I would highly recommend this location for anyone who's considering having a small wedding or outdoor picnic. The Pavilion is pretty good size but again the restrooms are located quite a ways away from the Pavilion so keep that in mind if you have small children, especially since the restrooms are right near the parking area. It would be very easy for somebody to snatch an unattended child in the restrooms and be gone without...

It is an awesome park to go to when you're just want to explore or with family. It has many sections with it and great trails. The trails are very interesting and unique, it leads you all around, going to a river area, or a more foresty area. You can choose to slowly climb up the hill or climb it all at once at the beginning of the trail. Though, I would be cautious as it does get very slippery for a while after it rains. Besides that, the trails are very fun and unique.

The rest of the park is quite typical for parks to have. It has a playground area, places to eat, a concrete pathway if you don't want to go onto a dirt trail, bathrooms, etc.

It also has plenty of parking. The entrance to the park could definitely be better as only one car can fit at a time, and the spot it is in isn't really that great, especially having to cross rail-road tracks right at the...

I absolutely love taking my two young daughters to Sequiota Park on a weekday morning. The park is large, has two playgrounds, a lake with a walking trail, caves and lots of beautiful scenery for people of all ages to enjoy. It is open and bright and is just a serene place to be when the weather is right! The only two negatives I can think of: the park gets very, very busy on weekends, almost claustrophobic but maybe it's just me, because the people there don't seem to mind :-) And secondly, there is LOTS of geese poop EVERYWHERE! You really want to watch your kiddos so they don't step in it. My two-year-old, who doesn't know how to say much, refers to this park as "Big Poop Park" so I always know where she wants to go ;-) All in all, a...

This is a great park with a rich history. The walking trails are great for biking and walking and a favorite to a lot of dogs. There’s a large playground for older kids and a small playground for smaller kids. The main creek is dry most of the time, but it’s still fun for kids to get down and play in the rocks. There are trails through the woods that are fun for climbing in one large rock, the size of a small house that Kids can climb up on as well. There is a cave that is dry that you can go in and out of and there’s also a large cave that they give boat tours in the early spring that empties out into a large pond that you can walk around as well. We have used the pavilion at different times for birthday parties which is nice as well.

I've always loved this park, and it's just gotten better with time. They've made a new walking path around the pond, which is lovely and leads over to a waterfall, that is pretty cool to see. There are three bridges, geese and ducks, as well as a cave system. The cave is often closed, for the preservation and protection of the bats that live inside of it. Bathrooms were unlocked this last time we went, and were clean and well kept up, and well stocked with toilet paper, soap, and good running water, and a dryer. The bike path leads both North and South, for miles. This is a gem of a park in Springfield. Definitely highly recommend.

As I watched a family try to have a BBQ at the park with a pending storm looming above, I noticed this homeless guy who had made his home under the nice big shelter. He was blasting the same song over and over, attempting to play and sing along on an electric guitar extremely out of tune. The park was full of onlookers as the father of the family approached the man with his daughter and asked if he could turn off the music and share the shelter. To my horror, the homeless man denied them and turned the music loader. It took all of me not to call the police or approach him myself. Are Springfield parks even safe for families any more?
