This was the worst experience I've ever had at an event. Unfortunately it was our test run to see if we would be buying seasons tickets and that is a hard no... even though we didn't even get to see the lunkers play. We purchased tickets through KY3. We called twice prior to ask if we can reserve our seats since we needed an aisle due to a recent surgery. Was told there was a block of tickets reserved for ky3 and if we got their early we wouldn't have a problem. Okay, Great. Arrived at 2:45 for the tailgate and got good parking. Then made sure we we the very FIRST person in line at the ticket both and got in line at 4pm. Was told will call opened at 6 and doors at 6:30. Doors opened at 5:55 and ticket window didn't open until 6:06.
First person to be taken at will call after waiting 2 hours and was told they didn't take the voucher there and to go ahead inside and they will get our tickets.
Went inside and was told it was invalid and we needed to go back to the ticket line... which was now ridiculously long. Told her what we needed and she took our voucher to the box office and told us to wait. Blonde lady said she would help and kept walking past us. I kept trying to get her attention to let her know we needed an aisle and 3 times she rudley gave me the hand and said "I said I will be with you" meanwhile helping someone who needed vip who came after us. We asked the ticket lady after waiting if there was anyone else that could help us and what we needed. She was very rude and snarked it wasn't her problem and we didn't get to pick and choose what we wanted (when we purchased tickets it never said we couldn't pick our seats and we never had this problem). Blonde lady came back to us 20 minutes later handing us tickets and I told her I kept trying to tell her we needed an aisle. She said "you will have to go see where these are. It is what it is" and stormed off.
Went to security who was really nice and he helped us track down a GM, I believe name Caleb. I get it's busy but he couldn't be bothered. When I tried explaining he cut me off and said "just tell me what you need from me". When i told him he said they needed to know in advance... yeah i called twice prior and waited 2 hours in line to be first. He passed us off to another worker who was nice but we waited another 30 minutes. Half way though she came back to let us know they were working on it and would upgrade our seats. When she finally came back at 6:50 we were given "the worst seats in the house". By then we were fed up being there 4 hours, being passed through rude staff, and to get a bottle of water would have been another hour long wait in line. We left wasting our time and money. Truly terrible experience for would have been fans. I don't understand why it took so long to get a ticket and they were rude to us even though it's was their staff who messed up in the first place....
Read moreThe facilities themselves worked great for the event we attended as far as the functionality of the facility itself. The staff decisions made were questionable. Unlike the year before, all bags were inspected and no outside food or drink, even if you had dietary restrictions. Water was allowed, gee thanks. Doors were locked to restrict the flow of people. Let's put a couple thousand people through one door. Great idea. I also noticed that two exterior main doors were literally tied shut to keep people from going through. My first thought was I bet that will also keep people from getting out during an emergency. Hmmmm. At the end of the event, it was the opposite in that the staff blocked all but one door to exit. Again, let's put a couple thousand people through one door. The parking was goofy. The staff guided you to park your vehicle so that one would pull their vehicle forward and they would park another vehicle behind you instead of parking vehicles nose to nose. How is someone supposed to gain access to their equipment in/on the rear of their vehicle when they park another vehicle directly behind you? I asked this, and I was told just to pull forward. So I did, and now I was blocking traffic going down the aisle that was in front of me. Sorry guys, I'm just doing what I was told so you can just back up and go park somewhere else or wait until I'm done loading/unloading. Alot of decisions made by the staff just seemed nonsensical....
Read moreThis by far was one of the worst experiences at a USA Bmx national. They did not let athletes bring in food or water. It was a hassle. They did not care if you had allergies. A worker told a diabetic person he didn’t care. They also were ripping people off when buying chicken tenders, only giving 3 instead of 4, because they were told too. There smoothie place was not washing the containers out in between so those who had allergies couldn’t get a mop this because it was cross contaminated. They only offered fried foods which were outrageously priced and weren’t even open when we got there. The workers were patting people down and yelling at people because they were bringing in something to eat. It’s completely ridiculous and I hope that USA Bmx pulls the event going forward for...
