Stop here! Walk! This is the best turn out we have seen between here and Ashville! Do not do like most people who we saw pull in, turn around, and go out! Just because you don't see the view from the large parking lot with picnic tables, it is worth getting out. Don the paved path is a split in the walkway with a sign that says .6 miles. Go left there down about 30 steps and you will be treated to the cutest little stine paved landing and viewing area yet! AND, if you take the .6 mile walk, that is round trip! It is a loop hike which in late Sept had 5 different kinds of beautiful and colorful wildflowers still in bloom. The hike is easy, mostly gravel and dirt with some roots and not uch elevation. Unfortunately, every other car we saw, just turned around. We almost did also.

If you have a very limited amount of time to drive along this section of the parkway, this stop is for you! Mere steps away from the road you see this stunning, almost private lookout point. Be careful though, as it is a steep drop beyond that ledge and the dog that was with us gave us a huge scare because he jumped up on the ledge a little too quickly! Thankfully we had his harness on tight and pulled him back. So keep an eye on kiddos and dogs. That said, I would absolutely love to return and just sit on the nearby rocks and soak up some sun. You can usually see a ton of hawks too, soaring and gliding. It felt quite magical. It's perfect for people who aren't able to go on a hike, and who need to maximize their sightseeing in a short time. Happy trails!

This is one of my favorite overlooks . There is a gorgeous view of Table Rock here and of course other mountains to view Grandfather etc . Take the trail too after you come back up from the overlook, it's an easy trail . It's .6 of a mile there's a little bit of an downhill and uphill but it's not bad . Take your time and enjoy the walk and at the end of the trail you have another beautiful view of Table Rock and a bench to rest on before you head back . It's Free to go here .

this starts off in a small parking lot and then you walk down a small trail there are several trails that go off for Miles however the main trail is relatively short and ends at a stone juliet-style balcony with stone walls surrounding with a sheer drop thousands of feet high from The chestoa view overlook you can clearly see table Rockeven though the chestoa view overlook is in North Carolina and table Rock is in South Carolina you still have an excellent view of table Rock from The overlookit's a breathtaking place to go especially for people who want to take beautiful photos not to mention it's very good exercise in the beautiful mountains of the Blue...
