This dog park has always been a great experience for us. There's a main fenced in dog run with a few dog agility obstacles (mine aren't smart enough to use them, but hey) and a covered pavilion with picnic tables for the humans (or dogs). There's also a separate pond area for the dogs to swim. While it is not completely fenced in, the fence extends about 20 feet into the water deterring them from going up on shore outside the fenced area. I don't let my hound off leash outside a fenced area ever, but feel pretty confident she's not going to escape this partially fenced in pond area either. It's a a great spot to introduce your dog to the water. Finally, the other dog owners have always been very friendly to talk with and respectful of the general etiquette of a dog park. On the plus side, there is a smallish pen, with wood chips on the ground, for the dogs to play in. There's some agility equipment for them as well, like a tunnel and a ramp. For us bipeds, there's a pavilion and a picnic table. The human regulars are welcoming and friendly!
The main attraction is obviously the water for the dogs to play in. Because the water is sometimes too dirty and not maintained (the percolating fountain isn't always working), I gave this...
Read moreYou aren't lost - it's located at the end of a dead end road of industrial businesses. There are multiple "sections" and each section is fenced and has a latching gate. One area is for small dogs, one is for large and all sizes. The section for large/all dogs has wood chips, a few pieces of agility equipment, and a covered picnic bench area. Pups can access a grassy area leading to a small beach and pond with a running path that borders the pond; the path part is not fenced. Also, the are outdoor bathroom facilities (not porta potties). People who come here tend to be friendly and mind their dogs...
