We came to Person Creek Park to have a little BBQ, try catching some fish, and to do some kayaking. As a picnic spot, the park is really great, except for one potentially dangerous element: All the fishing hooks lying about. At the place we made our BBQ, I picked up 7 hooks of discarded bits of line, from the ground and grass around the table and between the table and water. Some of the hooks were rusted and a definite blood poisoning threat for the unsuspecting child's foot. Beware of this, folks. Apart from this negative remark, I can only say good things about the park. There are tables with benches, fishing spots, ample parking, water faucets, piers and kayaks for rent Going onto the river was fun too. Boats go up and down all the time, adding some wave that is actually pleasant for the kayaking experience. The riverboats from Boyscout Island area, give a special character to the experience as a whole.

If it wasn't for the cast-away hooks in the picnic area, I would have given the park a definite 5! So how about it, folks? Let's keep it parked clean and safe for the...

While I didn't score a PB while I was here, it was a nice place to stop to get some fishing in to dodge rush hour.

Paddleboards coming to shore, wave runners bouncing along the Fox, families gathered for an evening out by the water, how can you go wrong!

One star less for a lack of place to have fishermen deposit fishing line. That would help...

Fishing enthusiasts get the vastness of exposure to the Fox river to give their fishing hooks an...

Beautiful & clean park with lovely views of river water and nature!! Families can BBQ, picnic here, safe hiking trails and bike riding. I also enjoyed kayaking along the river with naturalists , viewing the colorful flowers and watching guys driving their boats! Amazing place to check out!
