Antenen Nature Preserve MetroPark — Attraction in St. Clair Township

Could be so much better. Has the potential. A good half mile hike to the creek through various terrain. Once at creek you're set to fish..or swim. The day I visited there was a family of about 7-8 adults and too many kids to count swimming in very swift current high water..post storm. Lots of trash and liter. No facilities. Fantastic place to come relax in the river for FREE! Bring water shoes or shoes you're ok to get in the water. Rocks are everywhere so be careful when walking. The water is not as bad in most places. There are shallow areas good for sitting down and kids. And there are some spots that are a little deeper for swimming. Fantastic place again, however the only other downside is there are lots of spiders all over the rocks. I...

So… super great place to see a slice of the river with a rock lined coast. Very clean, feels safe-ish, only complaint is that both times we went the same people were ‘camping’ there… I’m 85% sure they’re living there… because we went 3 weeks apart hoping that the campers were gone to explore that small area up stream.
