Belmont County Fair Grounds — Attraction in St. Clairsville

We attended last night. The rides were awful...I rank it at a poor, small town carnival at best. Belmont County is capable of so much more. This is the WORST County Fair I have seen here and I have been attending since I was a child. I remember all the big rides like the Loop and the Spider. The rides last night were extremely disappointing. On a lighter note...I absolutely love the barnyard side of the fair. I'd give this part 5 stars!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We really enjoyed the horses, cows, sheep, goats & rabbits! 🐴🐄🐑🐐🐇 The handwashing stations provided were absolutely wonderful & neccessary!! The bathroom buildings they put in a few years back are great as well. This COULD be a top notch county fair if the person in charge of booking the ride entertainment would do a better job. Also, the demolition derby needs improvement. It was much more enjoyable at the old fairgrounds because we could actually see the cars. Aweful experience, they tell you tickets are good for the rides at the gate, the sign on the ride says how many tickets so seemed like it would be fine wait in line for a long time to get to the ride just to be informed they use wrist bands at this ride so we try another same thing ask where these wrist bands are and they yell at you cause they don't know, started to leave fustrated with the day stop and ask why they don't inform uou of this when you enter just to end up getting yelled at again by management. It needs improvement they need better rides for older kids. They could use better access to the fair grounds.

It's nothing like it was back in the 70s&80s the fair board needs to improve the overall fair grounds more stuff for all ages.

Other than that prices aren't bad . Too get into the fair grounds
