When I first started going to TE Church, it felt like family, a place where people of God could truly be on one accord in Jesus. But today, hearing the pastor openly express political views really disappointed me. As a church leader, I believe the focus should stay on what the Bible teaches, not personal political opinions.
Comparing two very different events undermines the struggles of Black Americans. Referring to the aftermath of George Floyd’s death as “the looting & burning down buildings” and then placing it alongside Charlie’s passing was deeply troubling. While both losses are tragic and both lives were innocent, the circumstances and public reactions should not be compared. They are separate situations, and reducing them to a comparison diminishes their unique weight and impact 🥺
I truly did not expect this from the pastor. I had hoped this church could be a place where Black and White Americans could stand together in unity though Christ. But after today, it doesn’t feel that way anymore😢. Let’s stop the comparisons and focus on honoring each life for what it...
Read moreThe experience. The name says it all. You're immediately greeted by caring people and feel welcomed which differs from other churches I've attended. They call it the perfect place for imperfect people and something about that resonates with everyone, first time guests included. It shows that you're loved and cared about as a human being and child of God no matter your past or struggles today. Pastors Tim and Linda Seidler have such a presence about them that radiates passion, and love. A love for the church, a love for their flock and a love for God. We go every Sunday we can. Every message sticks and is relatable and helps you understand you're not alone in your struggles. People need support, friendship and love in their dark times and I can't think of a better place to come to when you feel you're ready to give up. It's an experience and it changes lives. I recommend attending at least 1 service and see how you feel. You...
Read moreI moved to Ohio to be near my daughter and my 5 grandchildren. And she introduced me to TE. This is one of the best churches I’ve been to. I seen some bad reviews on TE. Listen people, there’s no perfect church or perfect people. Maybe the people had a bad day at the time you spoke with them. Don’t you have bad day’s? Of course everyone has. No body is gonna be smiling or in a good mood all the time as well as you. Don’t judge. Yeah the music is a little loud. Once again there’s not a perfect church. They preach the Bible. And isn’t that most important. Please don’t bad mouth them. Give them another chance. You just might like it the next...
