While shopping at the Summerville farmers market, my family ran across their farm table. While we waited in line to purchase our selections, we listened to the elderly lady speaking to the customer in front of us. The way the lady talked about and to her male Hispanic worker was disrespectful. After listening to her talk about how much English he understood or not was disturbing. She then pointed to that customers basket and said " take it that's yours and don't get lost on the way back". I understand the need for him to take the stuff to that customers car. However, something else was said he smiled and she then says" I know you understand that ". I kindly put my items down and found my things at another farm table instead.    Read moreNo prices listed for the food and they can’t tell you the prices, so when you go up there you are blown away. No receipts, no calculators, no cash register. Just arbitrary pricing. I got some green onions, blackberries, 4 peaches, 4 bell peppers, and okra. Probably totaling $15 ish bucks at the grocery store. I questioned the man twice and asked “Are you sure it’s $62?” and he said he was positive. So I gave him $100. He gave me $8 back. I started to walk away and realized he shorted me $30. I stopped and told him he didn’t give me correct change. He said, “Oh what was it? $68?” Doesn’t even know what he charged me. Gave me $30 he owed me. Won’t...

They should not be allowed to set up at Soda City or anywhere for that matter. They besmirch the fun family factor the market is supposed to carry. Maybe if they grew their own produce I could almost excuse the prices. But the stickers tell us that they don’t. Here’s a challenge, got to their stall and have your friend go through, pick the same items listed above and see what prices each of you get (they will be different) and the one who gets the cheapest price given to them owes the others in their friend group a...
