This Was my first time at this bridge 🌉. It been there since the 80s. Not really sure 👍 how long but me and my friend went there for a few reasons . One I have always wanted to see the bridge 🌁 and the second reason they used this bridge in one of my favorite films 🎥 and that movie is escape from New York . They use the bridge towards the end of the film and just to walk on it was very very very cool 😎 I will say make sure you you go to the bathroom before you get there because the bathrooms that are the front of the bridge are suppose to be open and they are not. I tried the handle and it was locked 🔐 . So use the restroom 🚻 before you go. I think there are bathrooms 🚽 on the other side if the bridge that you can use . Someone that was there told us that . Hope he was telling the truth. . No one was there so it’s very peaceful and you can walk or run over it You can also bike across it . They no longer have cars 🚙 go across it . We pretty much had it all to ourselves and we filmed on it for my YouTube vlog and then we left . If you live in IL or Missouri it is really worth checking out at least once I totally 💯 recommend it

Read moreFirst off, DO NOT PARK on the MISSOURI SIDE! of this park. As we pulled up to park a police officer warned us of the extremely large number of car thefts and break ins that occur on the Missouri side of the park, he told us to drive the extra 15 minutes and park on the Illinois side, and man was he right. The Illinois side of the park was clean, under video surveillance, and so so SO MUCH NICER than the Missouri side of the park.
Now that is out of the way, this is such a neat place to visit. Park your car and walk across the bridge, it's an amazing place and is full of great photo opportunities. During the winter and fall the wind is really brisk, so dress...
