As a child I spent my summers at my grandparents cabin, it was the most wonderful time of my life. I fondly recall the gentle waves lapping at the shore just a few yards from the bedroom window, it was the most soulful soothing sound, so peaceful & comfortable. We'd swim in the coldest water but it didn't matter we were kids, my brother and my cousins it was the kind of storybook old time movie childhood with inner tubes, fishing poles, laughter, hot dogs, marshmallows over an open fire, potato chips, hamburgers and the whole famn damily. Waking up to Grandmas cooking was the best those were the days everyone of us kids jumped out of bed thrilled to see what awaited in the kitchen and what kind of adventures lie in store for a new day. Oh God how I miss all that, it was truly wonderful. A glorious time to be a kid and so very alive. I miss Michigan to this day, yet I'm so grateful I have it in my blood and in...
