THIS 3-STAR RATING IS ONLY REFLECTIVE OF THE LANDING RESTAURANT...On a recent return trip from the UP, my husband and I saw a sign on I-75 for the casino. Being hungry and remembering that a promotion was sent to us with food comps, we decided to stop. We both had the prime rib, which was very good, came with two sides, and arrived in a timely manner. Our waitres, Erica, was the only problem. A few bites into my dinner, she stopped at the table to drop off the check, telling us no rush. Every time she passed by after that, she'd glance down where she placed it, not asking if we wanted our drinks refilled or telling us to save room for dessert. Finally I asked if her shift was ending, which it wasn't. Once we finished our meals, we decided to only order dessert if she offered it. We couldn't even get her attention when we wanted her at the table, so we walked to the register to pay and were told that we had to give it to the server. By the time she came to get it (after us calling her over) 50 minutes had passed since printing and delivering it to us. I tried to say something to her about the experience and she abruptly cut me off after a few words, telling me that she gave us the bill a long time ago so it's not her fault. I had a tip in ny hand, quickly put it back in my purse, and asked for a manager. He was polite, but informed me that she had been trained to drop off checks early. I showed him our empty glasses and told him we thought about dessert but weren't offered any. He offered us complimentary dessert, which we declined. It was more about the rude service than needing more food. I would dine here again, but would refuse to have...
Read moreThe hotel is beautiful. The design and layout are great. The rooms are large, even to the point of looking a little empty because the furniture is so minimal. Note that there is no fridge in the room, so don't plan on keeping any leftovers. Our fifth floor room had a view of the bay. The pool is very small (not much bigger than the hot tub) but wasn't crowded at all during our visit. The additional gaming space is awesome. It has a Vegas feel to it. The additional bar is nice. The new gaming space is very disjointed from the existing gaming space. Hopeful that they have plans to incorporate these spaces better in the future. The staff were extremely helpful, kind, and provided a great customer service experience. We only ran into one problem employee, the gentleman at the front desk overnight. He clearly didn't have the same training as Karisten (at the front desk), John (@ Creekside Lounge) and April (@ Players Club), all of whom went above and beyond and deserve to be recognized for making our stay spectacular. The Landing was another pain point. The service was less than spectacular. Our main dishes came out before our apps, the server didn't bring any sauces we asked for, and the restaurant was out of some basics like sauces, to-go boxes, etc. The Landing is a beautiful restaurant, but based on our experience I cannot recommend it until the kinks are worked out. The experience at The Landing and our interaction with the gentleman at the front desk (whose name tag was flipped over so we couldn't get his name) reduced the rating from five stars...

With an array of games, you're bound to find fun and hopefully more than chump change for your pocket. I've been coming here for 25 years. It's my favorite casino in Michigan. I've been to all of them multiple times. I love how friendly everyone is here. We root for each other and gossip about all of the machines and payouts. Once you're an established member, you'll reap benefits with players club rewards. Oh, the gifts are top notch. Every Wednesday there's a chance to win one. You can browse the website and sign up for a news letter to peak at the upcoming gifts and regents s to find out when and what the giveaways are. Concert tickets are given away occasionally. Possibly your favorite comedian, band/or musician is coming soon. What's not to love?! They also have a complimentary transport bus for bipolar Michigan weather. Parking feels safe and it's easy to find a spot. Coat check is also hassle free and safe. The decor is fabulous! Not important, but makes it classy. Chances for a free night's stay at their resort are also given. Water and soda are complimentary. The bar is enjoyable as well. Tables are run by fantastic dealers to vamp up the atmosphere. Best of luck to you friends 😊✌️❤️ Enjoy this lovely resort. It's a Michigan gem. Surprisingly it's not overrun by college students considering CMU is right...
