Wow!!! Best campground/state park experience ever. Yes the scenery is gorgeous and the water is crystal clear and so soothing. The showers are hot and we’ll maintained. But the real reason we stayed 3 nights instead of 1 is because of the AWESOME ranger Jen!! She is so much fun, incredibly charismatic, and an overall joy to see in the evenings when she does her rounds on the campground. Jen was knowledgeable about the area and other parks in the state we should visit, and her enthusiastic personality made staying here a blast. She loves Maine and the parks and it shows!!! Read moreMy Uncles lived on Sebago Lake. I came to visit there when I was 10 years old from Illinois. I was just amazed how clear the water is there. There was a dock almost in middle of the water. The water was so clear that when looked down the water didn't look very deep, I jumped off the dock & sunk, it took long time to swim up to the dock but didn't care it was fun & so did it again. Read moreWonderful lake, my family and I rented a pontoon boat for the day from Long Beach Marina and we also rented a inflatable tube to pull behind. We went around most of the lake stopping to tube for some points and stopping to jump off of the rocks as pictured, overall a fun experience. The lake is very clear, clean and deep which is preferable to me. I would probably recommend bringing a pool noodles or other flotation item if you tire easily from swimming.
