Harper Park — Attraction in Stanley

Great place for kids to play. I've only had one bad experience while I was there. It was about 6:30 pm on Christmas eve and I was there playing my game. The game I was playing is a Harry Potter game which is like Pokémon go. Some nosey person across the street called the cops telling them "a car has been sitting in the parking lot for 2 hours" (it wasn't that long) so 2 cops came by and questioned me but once I explained what I was doing and why I was there then I everything was fine and they were more interested in how my game worked. Perfect little hole in the wall very all American little park. Nonassuming, nice people.. I was surprised at how easy it felt considering it also felt so far off the beaten path. Parents and kids were really friendly and culturally it felt welcoming of all walks of life which I was worried about driving out. It seems a custom to leave toys for the kids which was freaking awesome plus playground right next to splash pad. Bathrooms are often locked, supposedly because of vandalism. They have cameras all around the building. My child needed to use the restroom, employee was very rude about letting her use it. Children can’t hold it as well as adults, so now I hardly ever go here. Maybe the department should look into how other parks deal with the problem, gave me the impression they just don’t want to bother...
