The waves and the in the ocean like lake are absolutely breathtaking. The black sand beach, which is actually just a bunch of very tiny dark rocks, was quite enjoyable. Sadly, everything else is in disarray. The bathroom is an outhouse with a door that doesn't close. One side is locked off and you can smell the horrors that hide behind that locked door. Lastly the pavilion, is a room labeled changing room, with another door that doesn't close and looks like drug deals happen regularly in there. A maintenance shed that also doesn't close and an even more sketchy room with a door that has been removed and a vending machine that has been put inside and looks like it hasn't been turned on in years. But we set up and went for a walk, came back to a note on our door telling us that camping wasn't allowed, and we had to leave, very sad, considering it is set up with fire rings and picnic tables. Definitely looked like a camping area. Also there were NO signs posted that said...

In addition to the garbage that is lying around (including broken glass bottles), the stamp sands themselves can be considered the be a hazard to your health. The sunsets are nice out here at least, as is the view of the lighthouse. Don't go here for supreme natural beauty though, as there is almost nothing...
