Whittleton Arch — Attraction in Stanton

A lovely hike through the woods to an even more beautiful waterfall over a natural rock shelf. There is much to learn about the geology along the way if you look at the rocks as you pass. even if the geology doesn't interest you, it's still a nice walk along a murmuring stream. Two thing to keep in mind: it'll probably be muddy, so wear older hiking shoes (flip-flops not recommend for this hike), and while most of it is passable by anyone, there are a couple moderately challenging areas in terms of small hills with uneven natural "steps" and roots that might be...

Whittleton Branch Trail is extremely muddy in several long stretches. I love this trail, but it might be best to wait for dryer conditions (summer?) before hiking it.
