Boonies Farm — Attraction in Staunton

We had our first experience Glamping✨ at Boonies Farm. Their dome tents are so nice! I wasn’t expecting how comfortable and cozy it would be. It’s perfectly temperature controlled. The bed is incredibly comfortable. They have everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay. The fresh ground coffee was delicious and it was fun to use the chemex coffee maker! Our stay was so relaxing. Each dome has its own wood fire hot tub and fire pit with privacy fence around each area. The hot tub is so fun and cozy and perfect for two. The dome looked out into the timber and was nice and quiet with birds chirping and the occasional farm animals. We took a walk around the property where we found little chickens roaming around with their chicks and free roam tame bunnies which were just the cutest things to see! It costs $20 a person to enter. I've never had to pay to enter a pumpkin patch. The $20 entry fee is not as inviting as say... a ticket system. _ amount of tickets to play at each amusement would have been more inviting and we might have even spent more if the system were set up that way. While deciding whether or not we were willing to pay that price, we saw three families leave with kids that were crying, with flushed faces, obviously overheated. We had 5 adults in our group, with only 2 kids. We would have had to pay $140 for just two kids to play... until they played too hard and were overheated! That's pretty unreasonable, considering most of the things to do there are for children. You're much better off going to the pumpkin patch out by...

This is a truly awesome place for outdoor family fun! There is lots to do, that kept younger ones engaged. I went with extended family and stayed for over 4 hours. It was very fun and relaxing. My grandchildren cried when we left! There are food and beverages available for purchase that are delicious. I require a rolling walker and several staff went out of their way to assist me. Finally, the bathroom facilities were very clean. If you like country style outdoor events this is a must. I will go again...
