Usually we love this place but after our experience there today, sadly we will no longer be giving them our business. We just tried to take our 1 year old daughter to the corn maze for the first time. We bought our tickets from an older blonde woman, marked our start time at 12:56pm.. we walked past the very first turn and realized it was entirely too muddy for the footwear we were wearing, so much to the point where our shoes were coming off and getting stuck in the mud... no problem, we didn't wear the correct shoes.. so we went back to the desk at 12:59pm and explained why were were back and if we could get a refund so we can come back another time with the correct shoes.. The same woman, still there, looked at us like we were nuts, saying there's no way she can give us a refund even though we literally just bought the tickets, walked to the entrance and turned around... she then makes these condescending comments to us like "we can't do anything about the mud"... great, we never once asked you to.. we were nothing but polite to this woman and we were so taken aback by the way she treated us and the comments to other maze goers who were buying their tickets, "warning" them about the mud right in front of us.. (funny, we got no such warning before we purchased ours) we aren't even upset about the $24 we didn't get back, it was the way this woman treated us for even thinking of asking after 4 minutes. Unfortunately, we are pretty upset because we genuinely always loved this place and was excited to make ekonk a part of our daughter's childhood, but because of this one woman, we will not...
Read moreCustomer service was a disappointment I asked for 3 cones into cups. Instead one waffle cone was made with 3 separate flavors in each pocket. We all understood the communication breakdown and I explained that I still wanted 3 separate ice cream cups/cones. The manager slid 3 spoons at me and suggested one for each flavor.... I then explained my wife and child were in the car and it was ideal for us to have our own ice cream. The manager then added 2 styro-foam bowls and suggested that was the way to go - This is in addition to the $30 of meats and juices I had already rung to be purchased. To make matters worse, the manager got loud and cut me off when I chose to use a whispering tone to her in private. THEN she also admitted it was a mistake as I was walking away...... So why not use the 3-4 direct opportunities to make it right????
Myself along with another witnessing party found my experience to be disappointing. This was my 2nd time there. You lost me as a customer and you made another regular customer angry.
Ice cream is great. Juice is yummy! Meat are yet to be...
Read moreGREAT sugared apple cider donuts - on the smaller size compared to others in the area, but well worth it in the quality and tenderness of the donut itself.
Sweet corn ice cream is Good, mild flavor, but worth trying. Not strained of skins if you're sensitive to that.
Parking can be cramped at busier times but there is a regular flow of in and out traffic that you shouldn't need to wait long to take a spot. Pair of chickens and chicks wander the picnic area, while the other poultry are in an enclosed area within view. Two miniature donkeys. Well maintained port-a-potty on site. Hay rides and corn maze further up the road from the main building, where the corn maze parking is also located and much more spacious.
