Sterling Town Beach — Attraction in Sterling

Beautiful park and beach! Perfect for swimming on summer days. Sit on the beach, or use one of the picnic tables in the shade. They have a summer camp here in the mornings, but the park is open for swimming from 12-sunset to Sterling residents with a sticker on your car (get it from town hall). There is a dock you can swim to to jump off of (for stronger swimmers, since the water is very deep there) and a shallow enclosed area for younger kids. No snack bar, but the ice cream truck comes a couple times throughout...

We have our annual picnic there and it's great! The beach is clean, the volleyball area is clean. The only drawback was the inability to use the bathrooms since some ingrates broke in and left the water running so, the town opted to keep them closed. Too bad because the are decent too. We'll...
