THE TUMBLEWEED MANAGEMENT IS A JOKE. If I could give this establishment zero stars, I would.
On March 23, 2020, the very popular Calf Fry Music Festival canceled their event due to COVID-19, which is completely understandable. I am not making a review regarding the cancelation of the festival, but instead I am leaving a review for the lack of response to refunds and the unprofessional behavior of the company.
The Tumbleweed issued a press release stating that ticket holders will be able to reuse their tickets at future events, such as Weedstock that will be held this August or Calf Fry 2021. Management did not include any information on how to go about getting a refund for your tickets. The ticket holders instantly began commenting asking about refunds and MONTHS have gone by and there has been NO RESPONSE.
The Tumbleweed management has since DELETED ALL OF THE COMMENTS on all their social media platforms regarding refunds and hate towards them not responding in a timely manner. However, they did leave all the comments from the people who were glad they canceled for the unforeseen circumstances.
I, myself, have commented numerous times and all of my comments have been deleted. I have also EMAILED SIX TIMES since April 7 and have received NO RESPONSE. I know of more people who have taken the time to email them about refunds, which resulted in no responses as well.
In my opinion, I believe the Tumbleweed has taken advantage of all business loans, ticket sales, etc. and have no money to refund the people who want refunds. Most people who are needing refunds are college students who will not be able to attend the suggested events due to graduation or conflicting events during those times.
Lastly, most music canceled festivals in the state of Oklahoma, such as Tatonka Music Fest, Rocklahoma, etc. have issued refunds, meanwhile Calf Fry has not even responded to the many people who are asking about it. Instead they delete any reminisce of people asking about refunds.
Management has been so unprofessional and mischievous during this time. It’s been so frustrating waiting for a simple response from this company.
I will NOT be attending any future events at the venue. The Tumbleweed in Stillwater is simply a FRAUD.
Sincerely,
An angry four year ticket holder who just wanted a...

Firstly, this rating is based on the venue and the logistics, not the staff. The staff were very kind, patient (with the individuals who apparently have NEVER attended a concert before), and seemed to work well as a team. So, frontline staff for sure earns 5/5. Also the restrooms, parking lot, and general areas were clean and well taken care of.
Secondly, does Stillwater Oklahoma not have a Fire Marshall? Because what we experienced at the Sam Barber concert had to have broken every fire safety ordinance on the books. Fortunately the kids in attendance were raised with some sense and our group wasn’t worried about fights or ill behavior -but if anything was to happen, the way they had it set up would have lead to major issues in case of an emergency.
It’s worth noting there’s two stages inside. The one on the dance floor would have been a better option for this show but I don’t think it was outfitted for this type of performance. Hoping this sold out concert helps them upgrade that stage because the one utilized for Ethan Reagan's and Sam Barber’s show left more than half in attendance with absolutely no view of the stage.
Besides the obvious safety issues, about a third of those in attendance talked and hung out the entire time (not even facing the stage) making it impossible to hear/understand the performers.
Hats off to booking them, and giving everyone the opportunity to “see” them both. Would attend the concerts that take place outside but not wasting money on concerts inside...
Read moreAs a concert hall, Tumbleweed is subpar. The check in process is horribly inefficient, security is non-existent (no metal detectors, no purse/pocket checks), I ordered two menu drinks from two different bartenders and neither knew what was in the drink, and they definitely oversell tickets. One line stretched for thousands of people! We were almost to the front when we were told to form two lines. Like, staff couldn’t have put up a sign or walked up and down and told people? Then we all had to show ID at the door. I suppose I’m spoiled by OKC venues, where staff helps direct the lines, checks IDs and puts on bracelets before you ever get to the door. Also, if you have menu drinks, make sure your part-time bartenders have the recipe. Once inside, good luck. If you don’t make it inside the actual concert hall, you’ll be standing on the dance floor watching Sam Barber’s torso from in between a bunch of cowboy hats listening to everyone around you talk like it’s just another Saturday night at the bar (FYI: if you wear a hat to a concert and/or talk loudly through the whole show, you are a jerk). 2/10. First (and last) trip to the...
