We are visiting from out of town and was recommended to visit this park by a local Big Pine resident. This park is operated through Monroe County. It’s quite a large park facility with a lot of open space for kids and pets to roam. Dogs are allowed, but must remain on a leash. There are dog waste stations, providing doggie waste bags so be sure to clean up after your pet. Other amenities include a shaded playground, walking track, water front pavilions, dock with site seeing binoculars and a bench, a vending machine, basketball and tennis courts, fitness stations, skate park, bicycle racks, baseball field and a concession stand that is open during sporting events. The playground is a sanded area so feel free to bring beach toys. There is also restroom facilities, plenty of parking and this park is conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. I would highly recommend visiting this park. It’s very clean, well maintained and lots of space for the our pets and...

I dont personally use the facilities here, mostly because I'm 62. It is a nice facility and, it is my "voting" location which is why I visited today. There are nice restroom facilities. There are large grassy areas that border the sea channel that flows between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. There is a skate board course and other similar facilities. Of particular interest to me, as a child I visited here on summer vacation, but back then the site was the Vista Linda motel where we stayed. The marina and boat docking area has been back filled and the decaying motel was torn...
