It is a beautiful place and well maintained. It's also easy to find and seems as though the parking would normally not be a problem. We were there the day before a Halloween festival, so parking was difficult due to a lot of vendor setup activity. There is quite a bit to see, and although there is a map, which I found generally helpful, it is probably just as fun to wander around. In general, everything seemed to be labeled well, which is great if you really want to know what you are looking at and don't want to have to constantly consult a pamphlet. The gardens cross a road, and while there is a crosswalk, you do need to be careful as it seemed that some were driving a little too fast for the road. It's probably best to do one side and then the other to minimize road crossings. The visitors center has drinks and snacks and a small gift shop. We did not shop but stopped in to pay, ask some questions, and get a map. As far as the fee is concerned, the recommended donation is $18/adult. I walked away feeling that was just a little high, but it's likely that was a me problem for two reasons. First, we were pressed for time, so I didn't feel as though I spent enough time to "get my money's worth." Second, the $18 is the suggested donation, and I felt no pressure to pay...
Read moreThis place will, for the rest of my life, hold a very special place in my heart. As we walked down the Daylily Path in July 2019, my (now fiancé!) got down on one knee and proposed! (I feel the need to mention that he proposed after getting down on one knee because frankly he could’ve just had to tie his shoe.)
Aside from the proposal which may very well put a warm and fuzzy haze over my memory of this place, I love it here. There’s something about this botanical garden that is so welcoming, almost like the scenery is inviting you in. They have lovely trails and paths to walk on so that you don’t miss a single plant, flower, or animal and signs describing what each thing is.
They have an indoor building as well where they feature local artists and have beautiful fresh floral and greenery decorations. It’s a nice place to get a break from the heat in the summer, but I still recommend checking this out on a cooler day because it is quite beautiful.
I can’t wait to go back here! My only wish is that they had a larger gift shop... The items they’ve curated are so delightful and I definitely would’ve bought more things (and not just because I got...
Read moreVery disappointing, expensive & unimpressive. So spring is the best time to visit? While the tulips & daffodils are pretty & many spots look like they were still ready to be planted, there was nothing spectacular to see. The coming attractions of what was waiting to bloom were not either. Also none of the lawns were mowed making this place look unsightly and unkept. We didn’t see a high level of maintenance anywhere. That was truly disappointing. A nice walk on a few paths with flowering trees but we don’t need to pay anyone $36 to do that & I can see that at home. What the website shows and what is actually there are two totally different things. I won’t be back.

There are also many other unfavorable reviews for this garden. And most importantly, adjust your admission accordingly - nobody should be paying the same price when there is...
