No frills beach but big and rarely ever crowded. No bathroom ( now has port a potty), no lifeguards, no vending or stores, free, couple of benches on beach but easy to find a spot to sit on the sand, dogs are allowed and quite common but BRING WATER for them to drink as the river is SALT water, very long and wide beach for walking/playing, sandy in some spots, small pebbles or granular sand. Can be no other people on the beach at times. Water is cold but you can swim but gets deep fast, fast currents. You might see seals in the water but not abundant, sea birds and occasionally kids can find small crabs and shells. Good to spend a couple hours but without amenities it's not...

More a romantic hangout than a beach to swim at for the tidal water is often cold. The sand is more like grit or gravel, but take in the scene and you'll quickly find yourself surrounded by an expanse of color in a wide range for these colors to float and stream together. Why take away too much from the scene, though? Hang out for a bit. Maybe you'll find a wild fox of some other animal to enjoy the company of. Sandy Point is well out of the way of anything remotely urban so you might as well come to the Stockton Springs area to enjoy...

First time visitor - stopped by on a weekday in September. Great little out-of-the-way picnic beach. Kinda tricky to find because not every street is well marked (at least on Google maps) but once you get there it's worth it. Plenty of parking, they have a Port-o-potty there for convenience. Marked trails lead from the parking area. Wide sandy, gravelly beach. Remnants of some old wooden piers show through the sand. Lots of room to roam with kids or dogs. Awesome views. We watched sailboats work their way up the...

Neat lil hidden gem with a wild hiking trail to a beautiful overlook. Its named Crystal Lynn Cove overlook and the family donated the land so others can enjoy the view from her memorial. We also lost our daughter so we felt a special connection to the cove. It was a nice longer hike thru dense forest and we chose to come back thru the resort then hit the trail on the main road. Beach was busy. Lots of leashed dogs. Water looked nice. I didn't check out the facilities

Lots of parking, so much space walk, play and hang out on the beach. The water is super cold but you can swim! The tide brings in some cool stuff too like crabs & various shells. The only downfall is that most of the beach is quite rocky and the sand is too. There is also a trail with a very easy little hike near the beach. Its a fun place to bring the kiddos for a picnic, a swim & to explore. 🌊 There are also porta potties in the parking lot.
