This is a nice dog park. If your dog likes water, there is a river on one side and some little beach areas. My dog didn't use the beach, instead she ran through the brush and bramble and entered the water to try and catch frogs. The people at the park were friendly. I don't know what the crowd is like at other times of day. At my local dog park, I am used to seeing some familiar faces (dogs and people). In general everyone was laid back and understanding of my young energetic dog's behavior. (She still has some puppy energy and likes to wrestle and chase, and an be a little mouthy). Will return. Bring a towel.

Nice little park along country Highway N and the Yahara River. You can walk along the river, the highway, or explore little islands and inlets along the water. There's excellent birding here especially for songbirds. It can get a little noisy due to vehicle traffic along some paths; but you can easily find quiet places to explore. My bird identifying app picked up songs of Veerys, Purple Martins, Baltimore Orioles, and Yellow Warblers (screenshot of recording attached). I also saw a Great Blue Heron fly and land near the water. Theres an abundance of wildflowers here, shaded paths, and fishing.

Took Zorro out to try out the beach. Two different dog beaches in the off leash area. He had a lot of fun playing in the water but not quite getting swimming yet. The paths were great and he loved exploring. One of my biggest dog park pet peeves is people that bring dog toys to the park then get mad if another dog grabs the toy. This place was no different in that regard but also plenty of people that actually understand that dogs will be dogs and just want to play and share toys. Considering Zorro has been passed out since we got home this dog park was definitely Zorro approved.
