We stopped here because we saw it on the map while traveling through the area thought it would be cool to walk across. It looks longer from the top of the steps than it did from the parking area. The steps look relatively new however the bridge itself seems a little rickety. The handrails/sides were chicken wire. I’m sure it’s safe but after taking 3 steps and being swarmed by dragonflies we turned around and went back down the steps. Ok I’m exaggerating on being swarmed but there were a lot up there flying around. Shortly after, 5 kids came up out of the river and ran up there and they were fine. Read moreThe bridge is really fun and the kids loved running across it and checking out all of the padlocks left by earlier visitors. It’s a lovely view of the river, just a little offputting that signs indicate only boating and fishing are allowed there, no other activities. Wasn’t sure if the kids were allowed to wade in the river there or even hang out on the bridge for fun. Read moreThis is a very beautiful park with everything you could want. They have picnic areas, basketball, soccer, baseball fields, a dog park and a trail with river access. The water is shallow at the docking area but the water is very, very clear. You can see every pebble at the bottom. The trail leads to the nearby high school. I ran into many friendly people along the trail and everything looks very safe. There is no cost to access the park. I...
