Strasburg Community Park — Attraction in Strasburg

We were in town on vacation and saw the signs for Celtic music on Saturday so we decided to check it out. It was very crowded, but plenty of street parking and seating still available. Everyone was friendly, the area was well maintained and landscaped. A beautiful pavilion for rent and came in handy because it was elevated enough to see the stage. I loved how the grassy seating area was tiered and not just an angled bowl. You could sit on a blanket and still see over the heads of anyone in front of you...

I ended up here originally looking for Jaycee Park which is on the other side of this park. Besides that being a little confusing my dog and I sat here and enjoyed the sunset. He barked at all the kids playing on the black top then made a few new friends. They have such cute structures to play on. They also have baseball fields and basketball courts. This park is great! There are paths with educational posts throughout. It would be great for homeschoolers or a field trip. There is a playground in an adjoining park which is clean and the equipment is in good shape plus is fenced in with a gate. It offers a larger set and smaller set for little tikes. There is only one picnic table that I could see, which is a bummer....
