Quiet and peaceful. Fishing was amazing (August). Big smallmouth and lots of them! Loons serenaded me at night and the water was still like glass. The only gripe I have is the rent platforms. I have a non free standing tent .

SCAM Alert $8.00 nonrefundable reservation charge on top of $16.00 site fee. $ 24.00 a nite. Good on pond up top sites paved over no where to place tent even on pond not worth that much Money! NO WAY.

There are some camp grounds right next to the lake. In order to get to the sites one must walk around a half mile; however, it is well worth the hike for the morning view is beautiful.

Grout pond has held a special place in my heart since childhood. The body of water itself has always been enjoyable, it's a quick paddel as the pond is not big. The stillness of the surrounding area is immensely relaxing. Fishing can be decent depending on time of year and what your casting. Ever present loons cap off the serenity of the pond. The camping at this pond has been the big draw for me and my family. It has sadly fallen into terrible disrepair. The campsites are seemingly no longer maintained and many of them are flat out unusable. The tent platforms at many of the sites are rotten through and an outright hazard, especially for children. It has within the last few years become a pay to use site makeing the condition of the area all the more bewildering. It was better maintained as a suggested donation recreational area. Please Grout Pond...get...

We live about 1 hour away and go to Grout Pond in all seasons. Autumn is so beautiful there and you can smell the spruce trees. Wear water proof boots for hiking around the pond as there are some muddy areas. Nice private camp sites and fun cooking hotdogs or marshmallows over your...
