There are a few parking areas along the dirt road that were filled, but it's easy to find a safe parking spot on the side of the road near by. I did a 10.5 mile hike to Stratton summit (3.4 miles), then Stratton pond (3.2 miles) and back to the parking lot (3.7 miles). It was a good split, the summit has a really tall tower. 4 people are allowed on the tower at all times. It's absolutely beautiful, I wish I had more time to spend up there in the enclosed tower but it was windy. Stratton pond is also gorgeous & tranquil because the fastest trail to it is at least 2.5 miles into the woods. I was able to hit the main attractions in one 5.5 hour hike.
