Stratton Mountain in Vermont, roughly 4 hours from Monmouth County is the perfect ski town. Stratton is known for its pristine slopes and top-notch skiing and snowboarding terrain. Stratton is the ultimate winter wonderland for both newbies and seasoned! During the warmer months, the mountain transforms into a haven for hiking, mountain biking, and leisurely chairlift rides, offering endless opportunities to soak in the beauty of the surrounding landscape. And let’s not forget about the cozy village atmosphere, complete with inviting lodges, delicious dining options, and lively après-ski activities, ensuring that every moment spent off the slopes is just as memorable as those on. So for those of you that ask where your next weekend trip should be, hit the road, and head to Stratton Mountain ⛷️ ❄️ #realtornicolerabbat #strattonmountain #strattonvermont #strattonvt #skitowns

We enjoyed Stratton. They do have a couple of free bunny runs with carpet lifts for the very beginners, which is a nice add if your kids are just getting on, considering that all day lift pass was around 170$ a day over the holidays with no options for hourly or half-day passes. It was also incredibly crowded. Unfortunately, we were not very impressed with the lack of safety enforcement - there are few dedicated "slow ski" zones, however, nothing prevents more experienced riders from speeding down these zones, causing serious discomfort to the beginners. They do have a youth school and offer group and private lessons, which is a nice option for the parents to be able to fit in a couple of runs in. Although, we did witness multiple very upset kids on the kiddies slopes calling for their parents with instructors struggling to re-focus their attention. Stratton staff was very responsive and helpful, and we thought they actually managed to keep the snow on the runs reasonably well on the positive temperatures/rainy days. Overall, Stratton is a good option for a non-holidays...

It was our first time here the mountain is actually beautiful. However, we bought tickets online with rentals. When we arrived we asked one of the staffs where we should head to and he pointed us to the ticket sales booth which already had very long lines. We asked another staff just to confirm we do need to wait in those lines if we already bought online tickets and he confirmed with a yes. Guess what, after waiting in line for 30+ minutes, the lady at the ticket sales window sends us to the equipment rental and said we can pick up lift tickets there and she can’t do anything here because if she gives us tickets here it will show that we already picked up rentals. We went to the rentals and there were zero people, picked up the rentals and got tickets in 10 minutes.

I think they should have more clear instructions that to direct where people should go either with a sign or include on the email receipt. The staffs could also tell us this info so we didn’t have to stand in line in the cold...

Fantastic East-coast ski resort. The rental service is friendly, knowledgeable, and equipped with top notch gear. The lift staff are kind, the lifts run smooth, and the waits are as reasonable as can be expected for such a fun place.

Varied terrain with some great fast runs, exceptional grooming, and true to legend snowmaking. Prices are steep, but not inconsistent with comparable resorts, and advance booking and packages bring the value way up. Not to mention the adorable ski-town which surely houses some fantastic Apres as the days grow longer.
