I moved here years ago from Newport Beach & south through San Clemente. Both coasts have some of the most impressive surf, wonderful beaches and are full of diverse things to do. I stayed on Hutchinson Island because, there isn't a 20 mile stretch anywhere in North America that beats it from the warm Ocean that has more incredible sea life and unusual birds all around like you can't begin to imagine! Kayaking and canoeing paddling through little zillions of waterways which erase time & suddenly you feel like you are living in an actual Tarzan movie, not minutes away from all the comforts built in many of the typical luxury watercraft, more boats here, per capita because you can criss cross most of Florida , if you don't have a car to run errends in don't worry grab a boat taxi and enjoy the beautiful homes as you pass on your way to the next destination, no problem navigating by boat-there are about the same opportunities to get where you want to go, by waterway, as by streets. There are too many things to describe that relate to present day places people want to see or be seen, or, like a time capsule, you can experience everyday in Jensen Beach minutes or short distances apart, drink fine champagne while eating really fresh seafood, or watch closely for boars, giant turtles, or the 8' alligator you might be quietly passing over in foot deep, clear water, in a heavily wooded areas that are here, and all around this county because they have been valued and protected in this magical, rare comunity, a rare enviorment, these days. Jensen Beach will grab your attention because there isn't another place like it! Don't even try to compare this to...

Also this poor condition is due to draining chemical rich water from Lake Okeechobee. The water to the north and south of us looks clear and clean, there are many instances of unsafe fecal coliform levels even in clear water. A lot of this has to do with boaters and beach goers using the water for a restroom. Be careful not to ingest any of the water along the coast or especially in the lagoons or rivers. Remember if you are swimming next to other people you are exposed to everyone's personal emissions. Wash and rinse your body using a public...

All the beaches nearby and places that you can go to be in touch with the beauty of the sea are at your fingertips. This is certainly a gorgeous area on The Sandbar with all of the mangroves. I'll count this as one of my top favorite places to go in this area of florida! Simply outstanding. Enjoy.
