This is a wonderful museum and park for teachers, families and home schoolers! It’s free - run entirely on donations.

The caretakers of this museum ā€œcareā€ for this museum, the artifacts and the time periods they portray. There isn’t a speck of dust in the place and every exhibit is well researched and labeled. The docents are very knowledgeable and happy to share local lore. Although the museum is open rain or shine, please make sure you visit on a day when you can take in the on-site one-room schoolhouse, the church, the firehouse, and the prairie cabin. They are all well-furnished and feel true to the era.

Parking is amazing - we have a 38-ft class A with Toad. We visited the museum and then parked overnight as Harvest Host guests. We parked in the paved lot thats flat and level. There are no utilities but you can use your generator and put out your slides after museum guests leave for the day. There’s very little street noise and a beautiful park...

This place is a "must visit" if you're traveling through Stuttgart! They have an expansive display of life in the early days of the town's settlement. What piqued my interest was the more that 100 year old farm machinery and tools, but they have gorgeous displays of home and town life from the farmhouse to the doctor's office. There is also an area dedicated to the prominent duck hunting culture in Stuttgart and its history. The staff could not be more accommodating and knowledgeable; they made us out-of-towners feel very welcome during our...

Well laid out local collections. Jessie directed us to an exquisite hand painted mural surrounded on display room, showing changes in the Grand Prairie from 1600's to present. Every interior room has a different focus-- duckhunting, military air field, John Deere equipment, restored buggies, wagons and cars. Inside, every corner holds a surprise. Outside, there are collections in every window of the main building as well as a collection of period buildings. Handicapped accessible, Covid compliant, independently run on donations,...

Harvest Host stop at The Museum of the Arkansas Grand Prairie was the perfect stop. We felt like we stepped back in time parked right next to the good old days buildings! The inside of the museum was even better and the gals running it were so friendly and full of so much town history. Who knew it was the duck calling capital of the world?! #vanlife #retiredlife #fulltimerv #tellaro #thor #harvesthost #boondocking #arkansas #stuttgart #museum #goodolddays #judds #schoolhouse #chapel #farmhouse

This place is a hidden gem. Please come visit sometime. There is sooo much history here. Plan to spend at least an hour or longer. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. There is a small gift shop in the entry area that offers books and tees and more info.... Please spread the word and keep the history going through the next generation. This museum is nice for school aged children and adults of all ages. It's free to enjoy. * As an added bonus, there is some interesting energy here .... good energy. LOL šŸ™ƒ
