it's a nice park ruined by horribe attitudes. the fields are great. many of the people arent that bad. but all of the 5 or so times i have been here i've run into some of the most entitled and arrogant people you will ever meet. one guy tried to kick us off all the football fields because he said he had a team practice scheduled on the one we were on in 2 hours. another time we were playing and after 35 minutes or so a couple guys walk over from nowhere and without a word just take the goal we were using. we ask what they were doing cause we were using it and they said we want to use it now even though several other goals were open. we said that theu could use one those and they just laughed and told us it was ok they took it cause we had a chance on it and if we didnt like it they knew some guy and would call him and have us thrown out of park. i went alone today to work on some shots and two more guys take the goal in the middle of one of my shots without a word. i ask them why and they looked at me but ignored me so i just left and am not sure i will go back for a while due to all of my visits being ruined by other people. sucks cause it is only park with football fields the public can use and that arent locked up almost year round within 30...

I walk my mini dachshund here all of the time. Outside of people not picking up after their dogs and trash left after soccer games, this park is FANTASTIC!!The guys who tend the grounds are all nice and do a GREAT job picking up after the classless people who leave their trash scattered EVERYwhere.

Just wanted you guys to know your efforts are noticed and GREATLY appreciated!! Both myself and Utah love this park. Whether we are alone or surrounded by people, I pick up after Utah EVERY time and have NEVER just thrown trash on the ground. Show a little tact, guests of Gary Pirckle Park, PICK UP AFTER YOURSELVES!!!

I feel I shouldn't have to say that... But had to be...

I am a teenager of the age 14, my amazing parents have taken me to this park ever since I was like 5. This park has THE BEST playground for kids I am 14 AND I STILL LOVE PLAYING ON THE PLAYGROUNDS. Gary pirkle is THE BEST for soccer and for walking on the track. Gary pirkle is the best park ever. I know if Gary pirkle is still around if I have children for sure they're only going to this park. I am a teenager in this generation which I find absolutely horrid and I still enjoy going to parks, I don't always have a...

Beautiful park to visit while staying on Lake Lanier Islands. We had our 4, 6 and 9 year old to entertain and this park did not disappoint. The playground is wonderful and we appreciate that it was covered. When the kids got tired of playing, they scootered on the flat smooth paths around the play fields. The bathrooms are conveniently placed right near the playground. There is also a lovely wooded path with smooth walking trail. Would highly recommend if you have kids and need to entertain them outside.

UPDATE: Definitely NOT the place you want to come to in the evening. Whatever team that practices here takes up all the fields, leaving no space for people looking for a small game/workout. Even though the practices can all be on field, but whatever. Parking also gets slammed with crazy drivers. So if you or your buddies have a regular 9-5 or want that evening chilly weather, don’t plan on making this a place to come to.
