My way better half & I decided to take our 1st hike of the year today at Bellbrook Sugarcreek Sweet Arrow Reserve. We really didn’t have a choice with as beautiful as it was outside today! When we hit the trail it was 81°, sunny & the wildlife was out in full effect. We caught a glimpse of a huge hawk & almost stepped on two different snakes during the 3 mile trek! We’re just happy to be out hiking again!! 🥾Stay tuned for the next #TeamClark Trail Adventure. Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Get Your Butts Outside!!

Went here for about 4.5 miles of hiking. It was a little confusing to follow the trails I wish I had brought a map. Had a good time walking through the prairie and wooded areas though I skipped one of the prairie trails that ran adjacent to the road. If you take the yellow loop there is a river crossing that will require your feet getting wet. Saw no wildlife other than birds but saw a couple species I don’t see elsewhere in the area.

This is a large and well maintained reserve. The trails are easy with some moderate areas. Little Sugar Creek passes through, and there are multiple creek crossings. The crossings are mostly large rocks that you walk across. Much of the reserve is meadows and woods. The parking area is not very big but adequate. There is one portable restroom and a couple of picnic tables at the parking area.

Update 10/24/2022 and again on 10/25/2023. Gorgeous Autumn colors everywhere right now!

Update 06/14/2022. I love this place. It has become my favorite "home" hiking spot. Drains really well. It's a little mucky in a few low areas, but it has rained a bunch this week and especially last night.

Original review: First time at Sweet Arrow. Nice trails overall. Seems like a mix between Possum Creek and Sugarcreek Metroparks. Some of the trails are marked with signs and arrows, others are not, so it's not always clear where you are on the map. I will be back for more here, adding it to my regular hiking rotation. If you stick to the outside of all the trails connected together, the distance is over 3 miles. I don't think I covered all of the loops, finished at 3.2 miles. I think I missed the South Loop. I recommend Sweet...

Love the park! It's especially nice because when anyone drives in, maybe having never been there prior, park automobile, walks from lot to a zen meditative pathway. Suddenly there's a forest with such a dense canopy overhead , it's like being someplace other than a main road ! I would spend more quality time there if there were water fountain, a true lavatory facility and a spot to lock up bike. It could also benefit from strategically placed safety light posts. . I thoroughly appreciated my visit, loved hearing the origin story of the park from residents who shared it. So many veterans here! They've lived here so long, that they've seen things like this go through mess to miracle!

Have a great visit to...

Decent park and one of the nicest ones in this general area. Generally crowded and a weird mix of groups of people meandering, dog walkers and trail runners. This is a great place to take the kids on a stroll but not such a great place to come to exercise unless you are going at way off peak hours. The trails themselves can be a little challenging with some nice hills to get your heart rate up. Parking lot is safe and busy, I wouldn't think twice about parking here (unlike some other parks which seem like low hanging fruit for car break-ins). Parking is ample and trails get muddy after rain. Porta-pot on site is usually clean and...
