Went to the public outdoor shooting range. It was empty so we were able to sling some lead unencumbered. Mowed areas, concrete shooting tables, and chicken wire to attach your targets. I recommend bringing clothespins to assist with target hanging. Some litter from previous shooters to include beer bottles, spent brass and shells. Over all, a nice outdoor area to let your preferred weapon show you what it can do. Cell phone reception is non existent so be mindful and get directions before starting out. Read moreHuzzah Conservation is a very nice place. It is not easy to get to. The roads are often gravel and there are lots of pot holes. There is no potable water except from the creek. There are only two pit tiolets and it is good policy to bring your own TP, just in case. HOWEVER, the camp sites were recently mowed, and the pit toilets are well constructed and well maintained.
