Okaw Valley Orchard, LLC — Attraction in Sullivan

This place is one of those local finds that you feel lucky to find. They have a nice store with tons of little food items that you won't find anywhere else.

Many of the items are produced locally. They have an amazing playground for kids and plenty of outside seating for adults.

My complaint is not about the staff or the facility or their offerings. Don't get me wrong but, We went there in the middle of Covid and I would expect some basic protections to be in place. There is NOTHING. The staff do not wear masks. There are no shields. Customers are not made to wear masks. Social distancing is not required. The store is small and has small isles. It's a bit claustrophobic, even without people. The (long) line in the store was tightly packed with non-mask-wearing adults and children.

We were here last week and returned again this week with another couple for a beautiful outing. We purchased the Red Haven both times and they are absolutely perfect! Juicy and Delicious..We were also able to enjoy Customer Appreciation day at Okaw Valley Orchards. We were there early enough there weren't too many people yet. We were able to get our purchase of peaches and enjoy some fresh donuts, and just sit at the picnic table to enjoy each other's company. The orchards look like they are well-kept and orderly. Our visit was based on an ad we misread so ended up at the orchard by accident. We could have picked 🍎 but I was not feeling that level of activity. The store was nice with a variety of not only apple products, but a variety of fruit products along with fresh apples that we did not pick. The freshly cooked donuts were delicious and so were the apple turnovers. We missed the food on the grill but somebody was cookin'. There is a place to sit and eat and a playground...
