Red Oak Valley was phenomenal! The staff and crew were so nice, and amazing! Nancy is truly a "last of a dying breed" type. She was so accommodating and helpful, and shes there multitasking running the food line, and teaching the bartender how to make sweet and sour, and delegating tasks to her crew all while staying friendly and attentive and cracking jokes with me.
This is my conjecture, as it seemed to me, but this could be an unfair assessment and my perspective might be biased and skewed. As it seemed to me these are good natured people, and as gracious as everyone was, I really wouldn't want to go into here with a self entitled attitude, asking for this, that, and the world or expecting some groveling, cow towing indentured servants. I'm sure they would still take good care of that person and deliver exceptional quality, but in my experiences, since this is a crew of good natured, kind soul, country folk, humans beings, the salt of the land. If you have high demands and poor manners, it won't translate well. However, have some sense, build rapport, stay courteous, and I'm sure they'll over deliver, exceeding ones expectations, and provide an experience second to none. But I was raised in the country, and I know that treating them like dirt may still get results, but treating them like family gets you the best.
Additionally, the natural ambiance of the Red Barn and surrounding geographic area, is something out of a fairytale! It has such a clean, rustic, hometown, family vibe and captures the best qualities of country living. It truly embodies the essence of "the simple life" although I can imagine that running a place this robust would be anything but simple.
With the addition of the white barn to their property, this vast and majestic venue is a primo location for your next event! Nothing but good vibes resonate from Red Oak Valley and it permeates and saturates everyone who steps foot on...
Read morevery long but please read I was an October bride who booked at the Red Barn on the Red Oak Valley property. My husband and I had an absolutely perfect wedding day. We booked the wedding weekend package and it was the best thing we could've done. It made our wedding day relaxing and calm. We were not running around on Saturday. The owners are incredible people and care very much about their couples. They were there on our day and created our tasting table which was beautiful. Dana is one of the main reasons that I did not lose my sanity the entire wedding planning process. I was clueless in the entire planning process and she answered every question I had. She was extremely patient with my indecisiveness. She also did my bridal makeup. She made me feel so beautiful. She even helped out in the reception space when she was not there affiliated with the venue during that day since she was booked as my MUA. Danielle was our day-of coordinator. My husband and I are so grateful for everything she did for us. She kept to the schedule the entire weekend and EVERYTHING ran on time. We were even EARLY for everything on the day-of. We had time to spare and relax during multiple points in the day. It allowed everyone a breather. We also did impromtu schedule changes multiple times in the day and she had everything running smoothly even with changes. All of the lodging spaces were very nice and clean. We booked majority of the spaces that they had available. Nancy even answered our check-in phone call at midnight and helped us get into our room for the night when we forgot to check-in earlier in the day. (recommend checking in before midnight). The property is stunning. The food is delicious. Staff is very polite and welcoming. The guy that even drove me in the polaris to the ceremony was extremely nice. I highly recommend this venue for your wedding. I wouldn't change a thing about our...
Read moreI did post a review, but if you know someone who plans on getting married, my grandson got married and Red Oak Valley and my friends son got married there the week before. Here is my review.
With the cost of this venue you would expect better service and treatment. First, I found the wedding planner, Danielle, very rude. She did not address concerns and treated females poorly. However, if it was a man, she referred to them as hon or babe. Then when she was informed of services that were paid for and discussed with the director, Danielle's response was, Its not on my list. WHAT! She should have checked to verify but instead things were paid for that were not provided. Why was there lack of communication between the director and wedding planner. There was only 1 bartender, which left long lines. This is not a bar. Higher a second bartender. The food was very cold and bland. The carrots were practically raw, the noodles and potatoes were cold and flavorless. Then the staff began taking the food away before everyone was done eating. Danielle was specifically told how the tables should be released to obtain their plates. Danielle totally disregarded this and said she does it her way. He way left the parent's and come grandparents last. I was very disappointed at the treatment of the family, the food and the lack of concern for the requests of the wedding party and family. Danielle should seek another form of employment that does not include people
And the other party and on leaving a 1 star review also. And they have not left it yet so I don't know who she is...
