One of the premier boating waters in the state. Love every square inch. Launching is easy with plenty of trailer parking spots weekdays. Weekends is a different story. I had to park the trailer and walk 3/4 of a mile a couple of Sundays ago. Also, kayak launching at Salmon Run has become a great hindrance to boats. I don't have a problem with kayaks or kayakers... own 2 myself. What I have a problem with is, boats are stacked up waiting to launch or pull out and here comes dad, mom, and 4 kids... and all have the cheap short "duckie" type plastic boats and all six head for the ramp, never mind going between and beside boats and trailers. Locals who arent disrespectful, take care of the...

People climb on the cliffs and jump off of them. Lots of anchor spots. The water gets rough on the weekends because of a lot of boat traffic and the waves bounce back off of the cliffs. Probably 3 foot swells on a Saturday. 1.5 foot swells in some places during weekdays. Pretty clean lake but watch out for the random pieces of logs floating around, don't wanna mess...
