Prouty Place State Park consists of 5 acres on a remote dirt road. This park provides access to hiking and ATV trails and areas for fishing and hunting. Primitive camping opportunities can also be found here. There really isn’t much more to say about this State Park as it is probably one of the least visited in PA and is lacking in any amenities. As others have stated, how this place keeps its designation as a State Park is beyond me as it could just be considered an access point for the adjoining Susquehannock State Forest.    Read moreThis park is very peaceful and since it does not have many visitors you will most likely find yourself to be alone there. There is a water pump along with an open field along the small road that runs through the park. There is a smaller dirt road by the water pump that leads to 2 small campsites along the Prouty Run. The creek is very nice and the sites are quaint. As of April 2021, camping was prohibited in the park due to Covid 19. Nearby is a multi-use trail called Prouty Lick. This may be a small park, but definitely a great spot to enjoy solitude...
   Read moreThe picture says it all. That's it. That's all it is. Looks like an open field with a pump and a bulletin board. If you need to stop to get stamp for passport book.... That's the only reason I could see stopping. Many other parks for day use are much nicer. No picnic tables, no porta potty, no views.
