This is a super cool place!! With super helpful people!! We stopped in during our road trip / vacation in our RV. The â jamdude â helped me by letting me park âoffâ parking lot!! 30k pound motor home and grass after rain donât mix!! So to start, this is not just some place to buy jam and jelly at - although they have over 40 some flavors. This is an experience. Michiganâs own Jamlady is the owner and the real deal! Her staff was amazing with the kids and even took our two over to the pumpkin patch to let them burn some energy ( we were headed home to Maryland like 10-11 more hours in a motorhome and I found myself without my tranquilizer gun ) now kid-less we were able to poke around the store and actually check out everything that the Jamlady had to offer. They have an assortment of your standard doodads and such but I kept abandoning the wife and finding the samples! I must have tried 10 different kinds of jam - there are combinations that only could have been conjured up by someone who is known as the Jamlady! Lemon and blueberry??? Umm.... yes please! Jalapeño? Again, yes please! There are different things that require some assembly such as bread mixes and this magical seasoning blend that you mix with cream cheese and make cheese balls with. I made one for a game and ended up on the couch with a box of triscuits and a cheese ball and a attitude if anyone got to close to me - my cheese ball! Pretty sure one of the kids are scarred for life as I ate caveman style only making grunts and growling if anyone got any hot ideas..... All in all, bring a lot of extra money with you - youâll need it! I waited to post this until we got home and tried most of what we bought. Instead, we are out of jam now and only have 24 empty jars to show for it. Lucky for us, the Jamlady is also the shipping lady and can get us more supplies quickly.
Huge thank you to all the staff at the jam farm and of course the Jamlady for all your help while we were there. Keep doing what your doing, making people...
Read moreA true local gem! Be sure to visit Lois at the Jam Farm if youâre in the area. This was a delightful find for us, so many classic and more unusual flavors lovingly made from family recipes and local produce.
Our haul included Peach & Amaretto (divine over vanilla bean ice cream with a grind of black pepper and fresh basil ribbons), Pear & Ginger, Quince Butter, Fresh Peach Jam, Seedless Blackberry, Rhubarb Jam, Red Onion Marmalade, Orange & Chilli Marmalade, Country Strawberry Jam, Tart Cherry and Chipotle Jam, and Peach Jalapeño Jam.
My daughters also loved the delightfully fragrant blackberry soap and Lois kindly allowed the girls to each pick out a vintage cookbook from her collectionâŠthumbing through them on the way home, the girls found beautifully written notes and letters from the original owners which felt somewhat like unearthing buried treasure!
*PS. If it looks closed, give them a minuteâŠLincoln the puppy will let Lois know youâre there! Or call the number...
Read moreThis out of the way gem is worth a visit. We arrived right at the 11:00 opening time, and found one very pleasant lady working in the kitchen. She immediately came out to greet us and tell us about the various products offered and where they originated from, whether it was there farm or another local farm. She shared samples with us and offered information regarding the uses of each jam, jelly, or preserve. Many of the products came with recipe cards for use in making sauces, dips, or glazes. Each jar is nicely decorated. There are many other products offered in the store, including locally sourced honey and maple syrup. There are also decorative items and jam associated items such as jam spoons and storage crates that are made on site. They also offer rebates on...
