This was my first time attending the event and with most anticipation of being on this land and connecting with legacy of the Black cowboy. I must say I was disappointed. The tribute to the Buffalo soldiers was not a documentary as nice as it was to have live people talking to you it lacked substance. The audio system was not clear and the announcements of the next event was not clear more emphasis on this would be a nice add especially for those trying to follow the events calendar on the website which was not aligned. Items listed on the website did not happen. The staff working the event need to be identified, if you had a question you didn’t have anyone to ask and if happened to grab someone they did not know the answer. I also purchased tickets for the Motown Jam. This was very disappointing not so much the talent but that too the seating. There isn’t a distinction on the ticket purchase site telling you that seats are first come first serve basis and that the outside seat had total obstructed views. The only way you saw the performance is if they stayed center stage and you moved you seat from The table to the walkway but if they moved you could not see them. The impersonators tried the lady did a good job signing Tammy Terrell’s songs, Gladys knight has a nice voice the two men let’s say Sand 1man would have taken them off the Apollo stage. The audio again honestly it was karaoke. The last performance was the best they were live energetic and sounded great but I could not see them. What a shame. Sunday morning as we were leaving the hotel we meet a sister who attended the event last year and returned with guest said 2024 was better and this was very disappointing and she was sad she brought others but we all agreed this could be a beautiful fun learning experience if done correctly. Read moreNot what I expected. Unorganized The owner Mrs. Myers is extremely rude. She showed not just us but the community she’s about the almighty dollar not the customer or black community, I called and pre purchased tickets she suggested the three day pass for 2 adults two children. The night of the western dinner she got loud when me and my family approached the door saying absolutely no kids, which wasn’t posted on the website either. She told us step aside and find someone to sell the tickets to or send our kids to the trailer. Why didn’t they just have this posted on their website? We told her we were from NJ and we were at a hotel 12 mi. away. She replied like I said no kids tonight. What happened to community love and bringing our people together. The workers told us previously they allowed children to eat and then they were excused for the dance, but it’s her show, so she decided to change it at the door after she retrieved folks money. Read moreCan I give this place and event 100 Stars? I know very little about farms, horses and I do not consider myself an outdoor person. But I had a FANTASTIC TIME this Memorial Weekend at The Annual Black Cowboys Rodeo Festival on Greenfield Farms in Rembert SC. Just 15 min away from Sumter,SC. Unlimited parking spaces for cars, off road vehicles , campers and RV's from all over the US. Many of these were repeat Festival travelers. I am already planning for 2024. Yes, it was raining but, the SOLD OUT Event was exciting, and entertaining from Thursday - Sunday. Great Food from the vendors and local cuisine cooked by the owners, Music and the men and women in Cowboy attire . Southern hospitality on the farm. The REAL COWBOYS could not perform the tricks and compete because the track was mud, red clay and water due to the pouring rain. Check-out the Red Barn photo. (gospel show, fish & steak meals on Thursday and Friday nights, Saturday Night MOTOWN Dance & live band and Worship Service on Sunday Morn)...seating for everyone...Returned 2024....
