Mount Toby, it's a great place that a lot of locals like to hike. It has multiple spots you can park at. This hiking area has several hiking paths to choose from, the state forest also provides different difficulty routes, as well as easy going relaxing areas to take a nice break. It includes things like a fire tower at the top, a cave to explore and even a couple geocaching. You can have a 15mins hike to few hours. They don't allow bikes, dirt bikes, ATVs, or off road vehicles on the paths. Mt Toby is also a mini waterfall paradise, with 2 distinct waterfalls on the east side, and 3 distinct waterfalls on the east side. I also suspect there are several others. Read moreThat was a great hike up to the Tower. Some of the roads are flat but the majority is uphill and some paths get a little steep. The woods looked beautiful with running streams along side of you. If you make it to the top there isn't much of a view unless you climb the tower. The tower gate was unlocked, and allowed us to reach the top, but we were not able to enter into the cabin. From the stairs you are still surrounded by some beautiful views of mountains, rivers, and trees. Don't forget to bring water. It's 6 miles round trip. The hike back down was very easy.
