This place was a childhood favorite of mine and I was so excited to bring my kids back to somewhere that my parents used to take me. We are military so I have been gone quite a few years, but this is our first time being back during the fall so we took advantage of the time and hit up what I thought was my favorite orchard. My parents even went with us because they were excited to take their grandkids to the same place they took their parents. It seems like they have let this place go downhill, even though they have added a few things....it's like they barely maintain it just to keep it open. Also, coming from AZ, HI and FL where they don't have cider mills or the closest one is hours away (AZ) the kids and I were really looking forward to this. We ordered a dozen apple cider donuts and they were so cold and dry. I immediately asked for fresh ones and they told me those were made earlier that morning and they wouldn't exchange it. Who wants cold, dry donuts from an apple orchard?! People look forward to fresh, WARM donuts and fresh cider. Their excuse was it was cold inside (it really wasn't)....fine, get a warmer or heater lamps. Also, I understand this is a tourist place....but can we tone down the prices a little bit? These prices are worse than when I lived in Hawaii during the pandemic. Completely outrageous and sickening. We did a u-pick up on the west side of the state by South Haven at Cranes and not only was it so much fun, but their prices were AMAZING! We got 19# of apples, to include the infamous honey crisp ๐ฅด for $29 and here they want to charge almost $100 for a bushel. They are a tourist place too, but just goes to show the money gouging. This place is a joke anymore and I'm sad to see this place go downhill...

We use to go all the time, loving the hot doughnuts and delicious cider, always wanting to come back. So when we found out that we would be in Michigan, the first thing we did was find a place with apple cider and doughnuts. So we scouted out a couple and finally came to Plymouth Orchards, or as I like to call it The Mouth of Sewage Hell. So we stepped out of the car and my first impression was mud, mud, and more mud. It was a cold rainy day, so I expected mud, we were forgiving about that aspect. Then I got a change to look around and the orchard looked like 50,000 horses trampled everything in sight, and then left to never come back again. That's 1 strike. Then we walked into the actual store and it was basically an abandoned warehouse with apples being sold. We order doughnuts and all of them were cold, and the cider was just lukewarm. That's 2 strikes. So we sat down to try to make the best out of our mediocre meal, hoping that it would get better somehow. But then, seeming out of nowhere a low hum rattled the air. Then, the question begged was "what's that smell?". So we lifted our noses to the air and we were greeted with a smell so grotesque, so putrid that I thought I had bathed in fecal matter. Woman and children were screaming, running out hoping to make it out alive. The wonderful people in charge of this hell hole decided that it would be a good idea to dump their sewage on a Friday morning with visitors everywhere! As we screamed and hoped not to caught by the ungodly odor we prayed to God that we would see another day. We hopped in the car and speeded out of The Gates of the Smelly Underworld, 3 strikes...
ย ย ย Read moreGreat experience every year here. It may not be as big as other places but what they have is really nice. The donuts and cider are great. The hay ride is great and takes you to a pumpkin patch and flower field where you can pick them. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it doesn't have a lot of play stuff for kids like the other cider mills and the hay ride trailers do not have any sides or actual hay which the sides would be more safe for little one's and the old fashioned me was wanting actual hay on the "hay" ride. But overall they have great products and lots of animals. It was also nice that they do not have a crazy bee problem like other places. We actually went to plymouth orchards from three cedars...we left three cedars within 20 mins because they were flooded with bees. It was nice to go to plymouth and actually enjoy not being attacked by bees. They have improved this place every year and I think they're doing a great job here. We will definitely go back each year. They also have a lot of...
