I had a blast mountain biking the Bear Creek Trail on 4/11/22! The trail was glorious, gravel with some nice variable terrain. There were dips down to the creek with some brand new nice wide wooden bridges, boardwalks, and a nice bench with an overlook of Allouez Bay, seagulls, Wisconsin Point, and Lake Superior in the distance. The trail got very slushy and icy after bridge # 25 so I had to turn around and unfortunately was unable to finish the trail, but look forward to doing so when the rest of the snow melts! Lots of birch, aspen, and pine trees made for some nice scenery and made the whole trail smell great. The whole experience was very refreshing and exhilarating especially after the long brutal winter and multiple COVID outbreaks. There were lots of friendly people walking their dogs enjoying the trail that I had some nice conversations with along the way. I definitely recommend this trail! According to a KBJR Channel 6 news clip I watched on YouTube, the trail took 10 years of planning and 2 years to construct. Thanks Linda Cadotte (The Superior Parks, Recreation, & Forestry Director) and everyone who worked on this trail to make it possible! Your hard work is very much...
Read moreI've walked, biked, fat-biked, and snow-shoed this trail. It's awesome to have in Superior! Every season it's a different experience. And it's expanding! The trail already crosses Moccasin Mike Road on the way to Wisconsin Point and goes through the wetlands on the way to the first Wisconsin Point parking lot...I can't wait for the city to connect the two up, it's going to be a great loop and a safe way for bikers and walkers to access the point!
I like going for a peddle on this trail the most. It's an easy peddle except for a two big hills that dip down and come back out of some creek beds. They are kind of flowy, and I've even hit the dropper post on a few of them! Just watch out for walkers!
I've also done a trail run on this trail, and it's a great 4.5 mile run that's easy on the joints. What an awesome...

Close to the Tri-State Corridor for walking, biking and riding recreational vehicles, plus a baseball field. Lastly, if your looking for a new fur-baby family member the Douglas County Humane Society is...
