Superior Entry Observation Area — Attraction in Superior

Our GPS helped us find this location. We were watching MarineTraffic app and the Walter McCarthy that we were tracking showed as arriving here but unfortunately for us it stopped and anchored about a mile off shore and just sat there so we didn’t get to see it come in. If we would’ve been there when it came through this canal it’s a great place to ship watch however it seems as though most of the ships in this area go up through the Duluth entry. If you want a private spot on the beach to have a fire and camp for a night, I would recommend Wisconsin point. It's beautiful, quiet, and right across from downtown Duluth so you get the perfect view of the city lights without the noise of traffic or the pollution. And yes, you can see the stars!

Wonderful, quiet oasis minutes from downtown Superior. Plenty of sandy beach, walking paths, historical information and of course wonderful views of the lake. Walk out on the observation pier to get even more "away from it all". We enjoyed watching a few smaller boats coming in and all the birds. Can't wait...
